Hoodia can control you hunger for at least 6 hours. You have no pangs of hunger during that time. You do not get jitters or feel any kind of loss while taking Hoodia. The craving for food is gone. The food still is wonderful and tastes great to you, if you force it down, but you never need to with it. You just do not think of food when you take Hoodia.
What is hunger? That is the question that has to be answered first, before all others

Hunger is your body’s way of telling you a message has reached the stomach. When this happens you start eating, even if you do not need it. The main problem: this is a message which does not have an Off button.
The Process
It is a decision taken by your Hypothalamus, which is a part of your endocrine. It looks at the glucose or sugar in your blood and tells you body to either eat or not to eat. When you eat a diet full of carbohydrates, it raises your blood sugar and it tells your brain not to eat. To reach that point you have to eat a lot, and finally the message gets through. You have to stop before that and there comes Hoodia to the rescue.
It takes forever for the message to get through because your Hypothalamus is very slow. It takes about 20 minutes or so, which is a long time when you are eating. You end up with much more food than you require and that increases your weight. When Hoodia turns off the switch you do not feel hungry so you end up eating less. When you eat less you lose weight.
